Pure Mulberry Undyed Silk Laps

Another delectible form that silk takes, silk laps are sheets of stretched, carded silk fibers that are long staple, very shiny and soft. They are called “laps” because the sheets are usually one “lap” around the carding machine. They are much like hankies, where layers of silk can be peeled away and used, creating web effects of shimmery silk in felting. The layers can be drafted for spinning textured silk yarns, too.  Purchased by the gram.
