Cool Granite – Merino/Silk Handspun Yarn

My favorite way to spin is to find gorgeous fiber offered by other fiber artists. I came across some beautiful merino-blend wool tops from a felting supplier, and I had to give this lovely stuff a twirl. Lovely shades of heathered grey with color flecks was spun around a core, then plied with Japanese kimono silk, creating a lighter-than-air lofty, fluffy, bulky yarn perfect for weaving, knitting, felting accents….48 yds.
